Well, because Woody just edges his spacey BFF in the character stakes, springing fully-formed from the screen as a living, breathing, er, child's plaything.
A. Milne in 1926. Culture clashes have always been dramatic meat for filmmakers, but this is a more imaginative take on it than most. That’s why we never see anything of his father. The wonderful writing of the film also contributes to Scar’s greatness. In the end, however, we chose to recognize one of animation’s greatest villains: the lion Scar.
