Yes, I would prefer continuing to use Verizon's STBs since they're being paid for, and their DVR and TV function (when not frozen) works nicely across all my 10 TV locations throughout the house connected via Verizon's DVR STBs x2 and their Mini-TV STBs x8 in total . The firmware/software is in the g3100 so it not only must be connected but also must broadcast a 2nd network in addition to the mesh network so you need your mesh router in router mode and manually switch each device to the mesh network by forcing the devices to forget the g3100 network…

Tried deleting/uninstalling/installing the A7000, forcing connection protocols, disabling the AX protocol in the FIOS router etc. Several of the devices can see the NETGEAR68 wifi, with a strong signal indicated, but they cannot connect to it.
