As the simmering time is quite long, around 2 hours, it is possible to cook the orange pulp in advance. This cake is dense and chocolatey with a punchy orange flavor.

This cake is incredibly moist, and is delicious served with ice cream, cream or a little marmalade thinned with orange juice as a sauce.
