It’s not that it’s the most beautiful rose scent, nor my favorite mossy/woods one but it is the one that moves me in such a way that I adore it above many others. it gets blended prettily with some sort of herb and a very strong rose. Somewhere around 12 hours to be precise: the amount of time I can smell it on my skin. I shall file alongside 31 Rue Cambon (red-carpet glamour and dirty wok) and Rose 31 (something UNMENTIONABLE) as much loved fragrances I am just disposed for some reason not to like. Such was the case for me with Une Rose Chyprée, a perfume from the indie line created by Andy Tauer. I wanted to love this and I really really didn't. URV is a little sweet for me too — in that category (rose-violet-vanilla) I prefer Broadway Nite.
It certainly is; it’s the best blog in the universe! I actually haven’t tried any of the pentachords, though I’ve tried, I think, every single other one. It is not a soliflore, but the fragrance's overall impression is definitely the "scarlet rose" of its name, enriched by the other elements rather than masked by them — it is, as the perfumer himself says, "a true homage to rose." It has a sparkling quality, as though some aldehydes have somehow smuggled their way in, but this is a perfect foil to the incense itself, almost as though you can see the smoke rise. I think Incense Rose has good sillage and duration, but I could have been distracted because of my experience. Combined with the balmy resins and the tempered sweetness of the rose, Incense Rose turns into a sensual scent seducing its wearer and those around her. Absolutely lovely. I have to say I don’t own a fb of any of his scents just because of ow broke I am in the spending on luxury department. I was really looking forward to Une Rose Chypree but it... Tauer perfumes have in common a certain dynamism that can be chaotic at worst and symphonic at best. If you have ever been able to spend time with a pure rose otto, you will recall that the opening is odd and vegetal, not rosy at all. This is a demanding scent. Incense rosé ist mir vor 3 – 4 Jahren in Form eines netten Pröbchens begegnet. There is something sharp/screeching in the background, maybe synthetic woods. It opens up on skin to reveal a gorgeous rose heart with plenty of green geranium. I find it very wearable (for Tauer!). I really like that signature style, but I know many don’t! I'm realizing now why it took me so long to like LADDM. Perhaps dry dabbing versus spraying and seeing how that sits with you! The magic for I Scent You a Day continues past the opening. Tauer INCENSE ROSE, like the other creations I've tried from this house, is a perfume. A dark pink rose, incongruently growing on a bed of moss and pine needles. Incense Rose is an absolute treat.

Feels very structural at the beginning, almost you can sense each layer separately. Try as I might, I just can't bring myself to like Incense Rose. I waver back and forth between whether URC or Incense Rose is my favorite. Incense Rosé isn’t hard to like, but its ease is not a fault. Has nice projection, fairly strong at first, but didn't last too long on me. There are many others which I also love, like Portrait of a Lady, but RC delights me, this dark ambery rose. I understand everything in life that much more when I have read about it. Suddenly a ray of light falls on a rose. The man is very approachable through his blog, so why not just go to the source, then you’ll know for sure. It smells like coke a cola and artificial rose on me. On the plus side Incense Rose' does not lead with the pharmaceutical notes as does LADDM! ( Log Out / This is my favourite time of year to wear it too.

I took the name literally. aaaaaaah, what a beauty! Without doubt this is a gorgeous fragrance that is never vulgar or cloying. Andy Tauer has successfully dodged all cliches of what a rose fragrance should smell like and has created a masterpiece. I’m glad you love it too, Angela! It wasn’t one of the Tauers that grabbed me, but I’ll give it another chance. The screen welcomes Andy Tauer.

To me it is one of the most beautiful fragrances I have ever smelled – and yet so impossibly beautiful I hardly ever wear it. So what was it, then? Here, the rose stays fresh and airy.
